„Constitutional Days“ Conference
"Implementation of Decisions of International Judicial Bodies by National Courts and Other Public Authorities – 5th Constitutional Days"

The key intention of the organizers of the conference was to analyze and draw conclusions on the implementation of the decisions of international judicial bodies by national courts and other public authorities. Particularly, they addressed the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights, the change of legislation and jurisprudence in relation to the decision-making activity of these bodies, the binding nature of their decisions, and the obligations arising for the Slovak Republic and the Slovak courts.
The invitation to the conference was accepted by Pavel Rychetský, President of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, Aleš Pejchal, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights from the Czech Republic, Alena Poláčková, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights from the Slovak Republic, Marica Pirošíková, Representative of the Government of the Slovak Republic before the European Court of Human Rights, Ivo Pospíšil, Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, Eduard Bárány, Judge Emeritus of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of State and Law of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Štefan Grman, Secretary of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic, Marek Števček, from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Aleš Gerloch, Head of the Department of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, Karel Klíma, Head of the Department of Legal Disciplines and Public Administration at the Metropolitan University Prague, Ján Svák, Rector of the Pan-European University.
