"Constitutional Days"
The tradition of organising the conference was established on the twentieth anniversary of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic in 2012. Since then, the international conference is held annually in September at the seat of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic. Constitutional Days are held with the support of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic and the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice.
The aim of the organisers is to create a space for people from constitutional and political practice and constitutional theory or other social sciences to discuss current constitutional law developments and to respond to constitutional law problems from the perspective of legal theory as well as application. The successful fulfilment of this aim is demonstrated by the annual rich participation of legal experts and representatives of academia, not only from Slovakia, but also from the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.
