„Constitutional Days“ Conference

"25 Years of the Constitution of The Slovak Republic – 6th Constitutional Days"

Košice, September 26 – 27, 2017

Presentations and discussions were held in three thematic blocks:

  1. The Constitution of the Slovak Republic as the fundamental law of the Slovak Republic;
  2. The Constitution of the Slovak Republic and its transformations over time;
  3. The Constitution of the Slovak Republic as an object of constitutional law research.

The invitation to the conference was attended by Pavel Rychetský, President of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, Marica Pirošíková, Daniela Švecová, President of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic, Jarmila Urbancová, Deputy President of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic, Lenka Praženková, President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, representative of the Government of the Slovak Republic before the European Court of Human Rights, Eduard Bárány, Judge Emeritus of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of State and Law of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Eduard Burda, Dean of the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava, Marek Števček, from Comenius University in Bratislava, Peter Hulla, Director of the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic, as well as other experts from legal practice, researchers and academics from the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

The first day of the international scientific conference took place in the premises of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic. During the second day, the participants moved to the Rector's Office of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice.
