The online conference featured presentations by Laurent Fabius, President of the Constitutional Council of France, Pavel Rychetský, President of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, Tamás Sulyok, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Hungary, as well as other prominent members of the judiciary and legal experts from home and abroad.
The conference focused on the significant constitutional effects on the exercise of public authority and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms during the state of emergency. Moreover, the participants addressed the question of legal comparison of the knowledge and experience gained in the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms during the pandemic caused by the coronavirus COVID-19 in selected European countries.
