ANNA DANIELČÁKOVÁ

Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic

She started her legal practice in the State Department of Social Security, representing the department in District Court proceedings. From 1967 to 1972 she was engaged in research for the Department of Labour Law and Social Security at the Legal Institute of the Ministry of Justice. From 1972 to 1993 she worked as chief expert and then as Director of the Legislative-Legal Department in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Slovak Republic.

As Chairman of the Permanent Working Commission for Labour Law and Social Security in the Government of the Slovak Republic, and a member of the same commission in the Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, she was active in the establishment of standards and the drafting of laws, both domestic and international. She also served on the Ratification Commission, whose responsibility was the monitoring of international documents pertaining to labour norms and human rights, for consistency with the laws of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic and for compliance.

She was appointed a Constitutional Court judge on January 21, 1993.
