Began his career as District Court judge in Rimavska Sobota and Lucenec (Deputy-Chairman and Chairman of the District Court in Lucenec from 1965 to 1970, he then served as an advocate (1971-1975), a company lawyer (1975 - 1989) and Director of the Department of Education, Information Science, and Labour at the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic (1990 - 1992).
Author of scholarly articles in the field of labour and economics law.
He was appointed a Constitutional Court judge on January 21, 1993.
