In 1983 she graduated at the Law Faculty of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice. In the same year she passed the viva voce examination. Between 1989-1991 she did her postgraduate studies at the Law Faculty of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice. After finishing her studies she worked as a lawyer in the industrial sphere. In 1993 she took up employment at the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, where she held the positions of Director of the Secretariat, and later Head of the Chancellery of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, and legal advisor. Between 1998-1999 she was a member of the editorial board of the Collection of Rulings of the Constitutional Court and a member of the editorial board of the legal journal Constitutionality and Politics.

From 2000 until being elected a judge of the Constitutional Court she worked as an advocate.

She is the co-author of the publication Commentary on the Constitution of the Slovak Republic -- Čič et al., Decision making activity of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic 1993 – 1997.

Language skills: German language fluently.

She was appointed a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic on 16 February 2007.
