Open Day of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic
Open Day of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic
Since 2016, the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic has been organising the "Open Day of the Constitutional Court" every year at the end of September. The aim of this activity is to familiarize the public with the Constitutional Court, its status, powers and decision-making activities in a way that is attractive not only for the legal community, but also for pupils and students of primary and secondary schools and other lay public. Another reason is the desire to join the idea of bringing the judiciary closer to citizens, which has been promoted for several years by the European Commission for the Efficiency of the Judiciary, including through the European Day of Justice.
Within the framework of the Open Day, the Chancellery of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic also announces a literary and artistic competition for primary and secondary school pupils.
The competitions are implemented with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in the Slovak Republic and with the support of CEPEJ.
